Aside from its live horse racing events, Los Alamitos is equally famous for its Blane Burger served by Schwanie's Grill At The Gap, the track's restaurant located in front of the turn for home on the far end of the grandstand apron.
More than that Los Alamitos has always been a training ground for great horsemen as Edward C. Allred, the owner and CEO of Los Alamitos Race Course, would tell you. The race course is a 5/8 mile horse track featuring Arabian, harness, quarter horse and thoroughbred racing all throughout the year.
